The climbs are the reason chauffeur experience matters on these bookings. The Nilgiri ascent is a long sequence of numbered hairpins, taken slowly in a long vehicle and requiring the driver to plan each turn rather than react to it. The Valparai road is tighter again, with a hairpin count that genuinely decides which seater we are willing to send. We will tell you before you book if your group size and your chosen hill road are incompatible, and we will suggest the alternative rather than attempting it and finding out.

Monsoon changes these roads more than it changes anything on the plains. Hill sections in heavy rain bring poor visibility, occasional debris and the real possibility of a temporary closure, none of which is dramatic if the schedule has slack in it and all of which is a problem if the schedule does not. Travelling in those months, plan arrival at the hill station with daylight to spare.

The city itself is easy to work in. Most hotel and residential addresses take a long vehicle comfortably, and the airport and railway station are both straightforward pickups. The exception is the older commercial grid around Town Hall, where we will suggest a nearby main road instead.

Coimbatore also generates steady weekday corporate movement from its industrial belt, which is quoted differently from weekend leisure travel.
