One-Way Urbania Drop from Coimbatore
A single-direction transfer out of Coimbatore, with the empty return priced into the rate rather than charged to you twice.
Because Coimbatore's best destinations are close, the one-way drop is a more useful product here than at most of our hubs. A group spending four days in Ooty gains nothing from a vehicle parked at the hotel for three of them, and two drops will very often beat a round trip with a daily minimum attached to each idle day. That arithmetic swings the other way for a single overnight, and we will run both rather than quote whichever produces the larger number.
There is also a repositioning point worth knowing. We position vehicles into Coimbatore from Chennai and Bengaluru, so a drop heading in either of those directions is frequently a vehicle going home rather than one running empty in the wrong direction. Where the timing lines up we can sometimes quote that better than the reverse journey, and there is no reason you should not have the benefit. Tell us the direction and the date when you enquire.
Ooty is the drop with the most caveats. The climb means the empty return leg takes as long as the outbound one, so the rate reflects a real cost rather than a notional one. It also means a late-afternoon drop has the chauffeur descending the ghat after dark, which we would rather avoid where the schedule allows. If your arrival time is flexible by an hour or two, an earlier drop is both safer and sometimes cheaper.
Kerala drops carry an interstate permit obtained before dispatch and billed at actuals. Kochi airport is the common one, and it deserves the same generous buffer any airport run gets: the highway portion is predictable and the approach at the far end is not. Give us exact addresses at both ends rather than city names, because it is the drop end that produces the awkward discoveries, particularly hotels whose entrance a seven-metre vehicle cannot use.
It is worth being clear what a one-way drop is not. It is not a vehicle you can add passengers to on the way back, because nobody is in it on the way back, and it is not half a round trip. If there is a reasonable chance you will want the same vehicle again within a few days, mention it at the time of booking — depending on the direction and the date we can sometimes plan the return around another job and quote you better than two independent drops.
