13 Seater

The 13 seater is the Urbania most people actually want, and it is the one we operate most of. Twelve passengers plus the chauffeur puts it at the point where the vehicle stops being a large car and starts being genuine group transport, without yet becoming a vehicle that struggles with ordinary city access. If you are unsure which seater to book and your group is somewhere in the eight to twelve range, this is almost always the answer.

Its real advantage is flexibility rather than capacity. Carry twelve and it is a full vehicle doing exactly what it was built for. Carry eight or nine and it becomes something better: a vehicle with a spare row, which is where the luggage goes, where somebody stretches out on a long leg, and where the bags that accumulate over a touring week end up. Groups who have travelled this way once tend to book the same configuration again, because the spare row turns out to be worth more than the seats they did not use.

That flexibility is what makes it the default for airport work with mid-sized groups. A family of nine flying internationally has checked bags that a smaller vehicle will not swallow, and the ability to fold seating rather than argue about the boot is the whole reason the booking works. It is also why we ask for the bag count first: with this seater the answer often decides whether nine people need this vehicle or the next one up.

For weddings and events it hits a useful middle. It moves a whole branch of a family in one vehicle, so a group arrives together and leaves together, while remaining small enough to park at venues where the largest seater has to be left further away. Across a long wedding day with repeated short shuttles, being able to stop closer to the door is not a small thing.

The compromise to understand is that a full twelve with a full week of luggage is a full vehicle. There is no configuration of a 13 seater that carries twelve people and twelve large suitcases comfortably, and a tour of that shape should be booked as a 17 seater. The right question is never whether everyone fits. It is whether everyone fits along with what they are bringing on day six.

Rates sit between the two other seaters on a per-kilometre basis, with the driver's allowance, tolls, parking, permits and GST added on top.
