Force Urbania

10 Seater

9+D — up to 9 passengers plus the chauffeur. From ₹38 per kilometre.

The 10 seater is the smallest Urbania we operate and it is the one most often booked for the wrong reason, which is that it is the cheapest per kilometre. It seats nine passengers plus the chauffeur, and nine is a real nine rather than an optimistic one, but the number on its own does not tell you whether this is your vehicle. What tells you is the combination of nine people and whatever they are carrying, and that is where groups get it wrong.

Where it is genuinely the right choice is a group of six to eight travelling with ordinary bags. That group has space to spread out, room to leave a seat empty beside them, and somewhere for coats and daypacks that is not somebody's lap. It is a comfortable vehicle at that loading and a cramped one at full capacity with a week's luggage, and the difference between those two experiences is entirely down to honest counting at the booking stage.

It is also the easiest of the three to place in a city. Every Urbania is a large vehicle by the standards of a residential lane or an old temple town, but the shortest one is meaningfully easier to turn, park and reverse out of a dead end. On itineraries that involve narrow approaches, older parts of cities, or hotels with tight gate access, that advantage is worth more than the seat count difference. Chauffeurs who work these routes will tell you which of your stops are a problem for a longer vehicle if you ask before booking.

For business use it suits a small executive group well. A team of four or five travelling between offices has generous space, can work en route, and arrives together rather than in a convoy of taxis. The economics are better than multiple cars at almost any distance once you are past three passengers, and there is one driver to coordinate with rather than three.

Where we will suggest sizing up is any trip combining nine passengers with multi-day luggage, airport runs with checked bags for the full group, or a tour longer than about three days. In each of those the next seater up costs modestly more per kilometre and removes the constraint entirely. We would rather recommend the larger vehicle and be right than take the cheaper booking and have the conversation at the kerb.

Rates start from the lowest per-kilometre figure of the three seaters, with the driver's allowance, tolls, parking, permits and GST added on top. The interior tiers available in this seater are listed below, and they change the cabin rather than the vehicle's dimensions.
